“I’m Malati Pegu, a Mising weaver-farmer from Jengrai, Majuli. Before the Rengam Handwoven Apparel Cluster arrived, my loom earned barely ₹1,000 a month. Now, with the cluster’s common facility and online sales, I weave twice as fast and bring home about ₹2,600 monthly—plus a yearly dividend. Customers worldwide recognize our Majuli motifs, and my daughter proudly helps upload product photos. Our craft—and our future—finally feels secure.”

“I’m Bipul Rabha from Bhalukghata, Chayani Barduar. Before the SFURTI Spices Cluster, I sold raw pepper and ginger cheaply to middlemen. Today, after cluster training and access to the new Common Facility Centre, my yields are up 40 % and graded pepper earns 30 % more—raising my monthly income from ₹2,000 to over ₹6,000. The cooperative now sells our produce directly to exporters in eco-packs that carry our village name. Pepper vines also guard our fields from wild elephants, and my wife earns extra in the CFC packaging unit. Thanks to this project, we’ve moved from subsistence farming to proud, profitable spice entrepreneurs.”
“I’m Prabin Taid, a small farmer from Machkhowa, Dhemaji. We’ve grown Bau Dhan for generations, but middle-men paid us barely ₹2,500 a month. Since joining the Machkhowa Red Rice & Allied Agro Cluster (SFURTI), everything changed. The new Farmer Producer Company grades and packs our rice at the Common Facility Centre and sells it as ‘Dhemaji Red Rice’. My price jumped to ₹45/kg and my monthly income is now about ₹8,000—even in flood years. I’ve cleared debts, improved my home, and learned quality testing so our rice meets premium standards. Bau Dhan is no longer a poor man’s crop; it’s our pride—and we, the farmers, own the brand.”

Arohan Inclusive is a social enterprise dedicated to promoting sustainable livelihoods, inclusive entrepreneurship, and community development across Northeast India. We work with farmers, artisans, and rural entrepreneurs to build resilient value chains through innovation and collaboration.
We offer technical assistance, market access, training, infrastructure support (like Common Facility Centres and CoEs), and mentorship for rural and tribal entrepreneurs in areas such as agriculture, food processing, bamboo and medicinal plants, and tourism services.
Our programs are open to smallholder farmers, SHGs, FPOs, youth entrepreneurs, artisans, and community-based organizations primarily from Northeast India. Selection is usually based on community mobilization, need assessment, and commitment to sustainable practices.

Our primary operations are in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, with growing interventions across other parts of Northeast India. Our offices and centers are strategically located in rural and semi-urban areas for grassroots impact.
